Overview

Grey chipboard is a thick, rigid board made by compressing layers of recycled wood pulp into a dense, grey-finished sheet. Its eco-friendly composition and high density offer the firmness needed to maintain box shape, making it a preferred base for luxury packaging. Affordable, sustainable, and smooth when wrapped in specialty paper, it’s ideal for cosmetics, electronics, apparel, and gift boxes.

How Grey Chipboard Differs from Other Boards:

• Fully grey on both sides with no coated surface
• Not suitable for direct printing; needs wrapping or lamination for a finished look
• Does not have a layered structure like duplex board
• Primarily used for strength-based applications
• Less visually appealing on its own compared to black or white chipboard
